News

The club has been a 100% NMRA organization since 2007 and now has 38 Regular Members.

A new clubhouse was secured in December 2009 at the Kennewick Valley Grange building located at Washington St. and 27th Avenue in Kennewick, WA. Available layout area (in a basement) is approximately 1,700 s.f. and a track plan has been approved by the membership. The layout will model the Northern Pacific route from Pasco to Yakima as well as provide other routes to Wallula, Richland and Sunnyside and staging in distant locations. The major crossing of the Columbia River at Pasco will also be shown. Construction started in August 2010.

The layout will include a continuous run distance (with its two helixes) of some 535 feet, total trackage of 1,710 feet and 286 turnouts. The staging will be located in an adjacent room. If you have Adobe Reader software, you can see the future layout by clicking on one of the following: Main Lower Deck, Main Upper Deck, Staging Lower Deck, Staging Upper Deck or Benchwork.
